Handout #1- This first hand out is a fill in the blank. It is a paragraph on the life cycle of Malaria and the spaces that are left blank are the major vocabulary that is needed to be known in this unit plan. I chose to do this type of worksheet because it will not only get them familiar with the vocabulary but also get them more familiar with the life cycle of the disease. Below is an attachment of the first handout.
Handout #2- I chose this handout to be one of the ways I asses how the unit plan is going. After we go over the lesson on the life cycle of Malaria i will give this handout to the students so that i may asses their understanding of the the unit so far. The way that this handout is set up is i have each step of the life cycle for Malaria with a space out beside each one and the students must find the correct order of the life cycle. Below is an attachment for the second handout.
Handout #3- This handout is an overview of bacteria, viruses, and parasites. I chose this handout as a review of past learning of diseases. This reason I want a handout out over the different types of diseases is to path the way for the unit plan and make any modifications needed. With this worksheet, the students must properly match the type of disease with its definition and the correct disease. Below is an attachemnet for the third handout.
